You are invited to join Mike Stephens for an open session on succession planning in farm businesses on 13th July in Townsville.
Dr Mike Stephens, Senior Consultant with Meridian Agriculture recently completed his PhD titled ‘Farming For Generations’. In his PhD, Mike examined the following:
- How some farming families manage to keep the intergenerational farm in the family
- Why some manage to maintain family harmony throughout the process, while others don’t.
- Why some manage to keep the farm, and others don’t.
- Tips and tricks on how to manage succession for your family.
In the open session, Mike will present the findings of his research. During the session, audience questions will be encouraged. Mike will discuss why and how the study was undertaken, what it revealed and the implications for other families in future.
Mike will be interviewed by fellow Meridian Agriculture consultant, Ben Reeve with questions from the audience.
