In 1983 Mike Stephens started the business under the name “Mike Stephens and Associates” just outside of Ballarat in Victoria. Mike recognised a need to provide practical, client focussed support to improve productivity and profitability on farms. The business continued to grow to meet gaps in the market, initially focusing on providing recruitment and human resource support to farmers as well as the business and production advice.
Over time the business has answered the needs of clients and industry, by developing both a team of agricultural professionals and a range of service offerings, advancing agriculture across Australia.
Meridian Agriculture has successfully maintained a balance between working one on one with producers on the ground, alongside participation and engagement with industry level projects. This experience, knowledge and credibility provides mutual benefits for all parties, providing critical feedback and input to industry, and the up to date critical information and recommendations to farm businesses.
